Tadamon – solidarity in Arabic -is the institutionalisation of more than two years of an organised emergency response by Palestinians, in solidarity with their compatriots arriving from occupied Palestine.
The organisation – founded in November 2025 – is building holistic, community-based models of support that can help to address the extreme impact of the war being waged against Palestinian society.

Background
Community-Led Support
Since the start of the genocide in Palestine in October 2023, Palestinians fleeing Gaza and other parts of occupied Palestine have arrived in Britain facing complex immigration systems and insufficient support structures.
In response, the Palestinian community mobilised collective efforts to welcome and support new arrivals.
Over the past two years, these efforts have included:
- Ad hoc Community-based support provided by a number of Palestinian collectives in the UK.
- Regular community meetings to welcome new arrivals. These meetings attended by hundreds of members included children’s activities, a community kitchen, access to legal advice and mental health support.
- Access to casework support through a full-time bilingual caseworker based at Migrants Organise, and coordinated with the British Palestinian Committee (BPC), that provided casework advice and support to 47 newly arrived families.
- A bilingual resource map of trusted organisations and resources created by the BPC and circulated to the community.
- Pilot legal and mental health support networks established by two part-time consultants based at the BPC.
- A network of lawyers, migrant centres and Muslim charities that have undertaken casework and provided financial support to new arrivals.
